How to Self-Publish in Excellence within 10-Days for Free via CreateSpace

On Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, I released my third book, “How to Self-Publish in Excellence within 10-Days: A step-by-step guide to self-publishing via CreateSpace.” In only seven days, I uploaded my manuscript file on Monday, Jan. 6, ordered the physical proof copy on Tuesday, Jan. 7, used the digital proof copy to edit the manuscript and add more content, received the paperback proof copy in the mail on Thursday, Jan. 9, made additional corrections and added more content (being the perfectionist I am), uploaded my new file on Saturday, Jan.11, received and approved the new digital proof copy on Sunday, and then posted the “immediately made available for purchase” book link to my CreateSpace eStore on all my social media pages and websites. The only costs for creating and publishing my book, including cover and all, was a nominal fee totaling $39.75 to purchase my ISBN, to print and ship the proof copy, and to order my three personal copies after publishing.

I was introduced to the empowering, free self-publishing tools of CreateSpace in 2010 by Rev. Valerie Love. CreateSpace enabled me to transform the first edition of my second published book, “For Such A Time As This,” from an 8.5” x 11” MS Word created, Staples store bound, calendar mistaken, personally sold to only family and friends manuscript into a polished professionally produced product (5.5” x 8.5”, MS Word created, CreateSpace cover and interior designed and bound) available online to millions of customers in multiple distribution channels. I had total control of the process, was amazed and elated at the results, and it cost me absolutely nothing to create! I knew then that I would publish all my books through this medium and those of my clients, who subsequently followed. With the publishing of “How to Self-Publish in Excellence within 10-Days,” I also founded the imprint Inspired 4 U Publications, as publisher of my book and all the others to come that I’ll have the privilege of birthing in excellence for myself and clients.
