Humble Praise for the Simple Rhyming Poem

Updated on June 2, 2016

When I came across you

My fellow Hubber, AttemptedHumor has been writing beautiful poetry on HubPages. I follow his work earnestly, he is simply maestro of rhymes. The most special thing about his poetry? It's simple. The magic it creates is beautiful, yet simple. The smiles which he spreads are many in number, and yet, all his work is not complex, it's simple. Simple to understand, but that said, each simple rhyme he creates has a subtle effect. A subtle message. So don't get misguided and take the simplicity for granted.

I read his poem - 'A Simple Rhyming Poem', and I was so delighted. Not just because it was, as usual like his other poems, wonderful with rhythmic rhymes, I was delighted because this poem contained a special understated reflection of it's creator. It kept on saying, 'I am simple, I am hollow, I lack beginning and end'; and I could feel how beautifully it portrayed the real self of the down to earth amazing creator.

I had no choice, just had to write this poem. And I would recommend you first read his poem, to be able to appreciate the delight that I felt after reading the subtle simplicity and the joy that I've attempted to express in my poem. It's not a reply, but a rejoinder to my feelings for simplicity - it's charm, it's beauty. I'm grateful to him for his creation, since it inspired me to create.

For The Rhyming Simple Poem

A Tribute to a Simple Creation.

Hi simple rhyming poem,
It was really nice to meet you,
And t'as not for saying's sake,
It's actual pleasure to greet you,

You're as light as beautiful feather,
You touch and bring a smile,
The charm of yours is irrefutable,
You send worries to exile,

Riding on the breeze always,
You can't be downhearted,
Your arrival uplifts spirits,
Frowns n faces are parted,

You are just like a circle,
With no beginning or end,
But so shapely, so complete,
Without any complex bend,

The hollowness is vital,
How else will echo go on?
You leave all the fronts away,
Honest acceptance you don,

No throw of moral messages,
You don't directly preach,
Yet you say with gentle voice,
To the Philomath you teach...

That many try to say big things,
And try to impress the people,
That being weighty might be something,
But it's more difficult to be simple,

You're tarnished brass, it's solid,
Not deceiving like a bubble,
You've your creator's reflection,
You are simple, and really subtle.

Simplicity is such a bliss...

The beautiful quote by Tagore teaches us but one thing -- Simplicity is not something you should take for granted. No matter how subtle it is, it is very difficult to achieve.

It is so simple to be happy, but it is so difficult to be simple.

— Rabindranath Tagore

I hope that I could keep the soul of simplicity alive in this poem while honouring the creator of the piece which inspired the creation of this one.

So here is the subtle wish for the readers -- I simply wish you to be happy in spite of difficulties.

The subtle gift of simplicity

I often write in a simplistic rhyming structure - it definitely gives my work and the lines within a sing/song feel and a nice lyrical pulse too.

It's so nice to see you once again and I hope sincerely all is well with you these days and I will post and link your most thought provoking hub presentation to my FB page as it is a masterclass in helping out new and old writers alike - sending my warmest wishes to you from Colin and his cat crew Tiffy and Gabriel at lake erie time ontario canada 12:34pm

It is difficult to write poetry but you show great creativity with this work. It is even more difficult, in my opinion, to present it properly on Hubpages but you have succeeded with this too. Well done, nice writing and welcome to HP.

Hi Keith, I was delighted when I read your response. You know what could be the most difficult thing for a creator, specially a poet? I think, it's when no one understands the exact meaning which the poet tried to convey... And writing for, or dedicating something to a writer, for his/her creation... the scope for the above problem does not remain. At least the one to whom you dedicate, the one for whom you've written for - will understand your thoughts, completely :)

@Radioguy: Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment :)

@neeleshkulkarni: Thank you for the compliment and also for looking beyond the creation and making a generous and encouraging remark for the person behind the poem :) I hope I'll live up to the assumption.

anusha the tribute was as amazing as the original.

simplicity is the most effective way to get things across and the poem shows what an understated elegance you as a poerson must have surely.

      great one.

Hi anusha, thank you for your wonderful hub. It is beautifully written and very much appreciated. The whole essence of Hubpages is to interact with with like-minded people who understand the joy that a few well thought out words can convey. I am so pleased that through my simple poem you were able to create an equally worthy poem. Some of the things i have written in the last few months would not have existed without me being inspired by other hubbers contributions. Creative writing for me is purely an enjoyable hobby and although i didn't realise it until now, this hub is the ultimate reward. Mutual respect the ultimate outcome. Thanks again anusha from your friend Keith.

Simplicity at its best. I love the way these two writers made words dance so elegantly.

Anusha - The picture you used is just adorable and apt with your rhyming poem :)
