Delay provides time for wiser decisions, right?

PROCRASTINATORS:

If at first you don’t succeed,

hopefully there is a tomorrow.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Today is the "tomorrow"

procrastinators were waiting for yesterday.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Procrastinators don’t want a 48-hour day.

They want a tomorrow that is 48 hours away!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Procrastinators are sure that

what “needs to be done today,”

is something that can wait for the right today,

which generally is at least the one tomorrow turns into.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Procrastinators’ Motto: never put off until another day,

that which can be put off until another month.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Procrastinators tend to apply for jobs as waiters.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Unlike most males their age,

procrastinators have fewer fears about proposing marriage.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Procrastinators are not likely to be

looking out the window to know

as soon as the mail gets delivered.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sometimes even I am put off

by my putting off!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The "Master Procrastinator" is the one who

puts off the putting off, until tomorrow.

Because the arthritis has flared up in my hands, I do have to put a few thing off until the swelling leaves.

Tres amusing. I almost put off reading this one ... so glad I didn't.

Quite clever, acerbic, and utterly accurate observations. Loved them. Good Hub.

Puts me in mind of the song from "My Fair Lady" called "with a little bit of luck"

I've put off replying to your comments until now, but now I will have to wait until I remember what I was going to say!

Angie Jardine: You gave me a good chuckle and a lingering smile with your comment that you almost put off reading this, but are glad you didn't. Touche!

Aren't we glad that most people we know (with a few exceptions) don't pur off getting dressed each day?

Surely a procrastinator's favorite sayings would have to include this one: "Haste makes waste."
