I Am So Tired
I am so tired I don’t know what to do
I know the stresses of life isn’t anything new
I work hard daily but just can’t make ends meet
I walk in search of deliverance till sores hug my feet
The TV turns on and it is the same old same old
Political lies, poor nation dies, this shit is getting old
I boot up my computer to see what’s going on online
But all I see is news of cyber war and financial crime
The system is broken and needs to be fixed
No, scrap that, the system needs to be replaced
Before the threat of terrorism makes our freedom get erased.
What’s up with all these black men walking around with their asses out?
Calling each other nigger then complain when the same word leaves the white man’s mouth
Many live in their colorful lives and ignore the pain the rest of the earth feels
Disposing of graded food while many children are unable to feed
Don’t try to plug our ears as the young girls scream
I, I am just so tired of your bare face lies
Shut up! Just shut the hell up.
You want to see my soul disappear, you want me to give up
But I will rise from the ashes of despair like the great Phoenix
I will cast judgment on the wicked who performs their evil tricks
I will make the Earth open up and swallow your great towers
I will take your soul along with any powers
Wait, now you bend on your knees and cry for forgiveness?
When you hide the truth from the lost letting them wonder in be wilderness
I condemn you and hold you deeply in contempt
For my love is already shared and your name is absent
Go now and crawl on your belly like a slithering serpent your are
Because you have brought famine, grief, suffering and war
I condemn you for all eternity
Now we rebuild, now we move on in love and Unity.
