I NEED 36-HOUR DAYS PLEASE
As I sit here at my make-shift desk
I can only think of one question to ask
How do I find time to write my next hub
When so many others do such a great job.
I’m reading and commenting many hours at a time
I look at this as my time to unwind
But when all is said and done
I didn’t find time to write another one.
My dishes and laundry pile high
I really don't have to wonder why
I’m sitting here glued tightly to my chair
Reading and enjoying what you share.
So intrigued at times I forget to eat
Every day it seems that I repeat
Engaged in your writing page after page
I find no time to make my own wage.
So many awesome writers all in one place
This absolutely is the case
My time is spent admiring of all of you
The hours in each day are way too few.
I have only one simple wish to ask
That would allow me to get to my task
I need 36-hour days please
So I can be writing with a little more ease.

Nice words said.
Thank you.
Sharyn, This is a very good poem. I, too, wish, I had more time to devote to writing on hubpages, or at least be more efficient in my writing. Maybe what we need is better time management. Voted up and sharing.
Sharyn....Thanks to Susan that this hub of yours is making another trip around the block....I wasn't living in HubVille when this first came out.
I'm gigling.....because I have to be careful what I wish for....Here's a Slant for you, my friend....everytime someone gets a 2nd job because she/he needs more money...they wind up SPENDING more money....right? Sure is a proven fact, honey...so I'm thinking..if we are granted more hours....we'll just find more ways to use the time up and still want more!!! Hmmm? What-a-ya-think?
Oh my! This describes many of us to the T!! 36 hours with energy would be a great deal! :-)
Well said! I have a hard time writing. I really enjoy reading what everyone else has to say. Then there is laundry, job hunting, cleaning.. I totally agree. Adorable hub!
Hi Sharyn's Slant, it seems we are all 'as one'!! reading and writing here is great, everything else keeps getting in the way though!
I can absolutely relate. Love the poem. Rated up and awesome. You wrote what I feel.
I wish I had more time too. I however need one year to be a day. LOL I love reading other hubbers hubs and do make it to a few most days. What always seems to take my time is replying. When someone writes something beautiful its hard not to want to tell them what a good job they did and share a little of me with them.
It's an honest belief that you can find anything you want or need information wise on hubpages. Earlier today in one of the hubbers hubs I found a link to Atari games that had been part of my past and will become part of the children who live here's future. The games can be downloaded and played on the computer now.
Keep up the good work.
That was awesome - In fact 0 I remember writing a hub very similar called addicted to Hubpages - you had some similar phrases in there about laundry piling up! LOL I guess great minds really do think alike! :)
...well I love your positive spin on life and living - your poetic attitude is so inspiring and your enthusiasm of writing extremely contagious ......and yes sometimes I think 24 hours in a day is not enough - and then on other days (like bad ones - lol) it's way too much!!!
Thank you for being in my hub life and making me feel special - you are a very special person yourself!!!!
Ha..this is so funny..and so true! Aren't the hub pages so addictive? I feel guilty, like I should be doing other things instead, like vacuuming and scrubbing the tub...instead, of reading another hub...(ha)!
A difficult balance that is for sure Sharyn. I know exactly how you feel! Like you have to make a choice when you want to do both! Hang in there, you are doing a great job!
Very cute and so true.
Hi Sharyn,
Your words have TOTALLY hit home! I can relate in every way. Great poem. I look forward to reading more of your work...if only I had 36 hour days!
Take care and stay safe,
Diana (:
hahah this is awesome
I felt that way for a while, and then I realized I needed a balance, or I would get lost in my computer forever
Then I got a job that sucks all my time up haha
Your comments and support have been awesome Sharyn, and this was a fun and cute poem
Good job, hope all's well :]
Hi Sharyn~~ I love getting to know all my new friends. I admire those of you who write so frequently / like the daily contest and think that is admirable. I know right now (with my schedule and my perfectionistic tendencies that slow me down... I couldn't do that, so I strive for one a week). But I also love reading as much as I can to learn and get to know some of you as well...
So, dear Sharyn, when I comment, you never have to rush or even answer all the time... if you are trying to accomplish a goal... I am proud of you!
HUBBING is pretty addicting I have to admit... Voted UP & AWESOME & BEAUTIFUL...!
Great job, Sharyn....Don't feel bad, we're all in the same boat...but this is an excellent hub and I voted it... up and awesome! Thank you !
Sharyn, Aint it the truth! Good job!!
Sincerely,
W
Oh yeah, I DO have a sink full of dishes and my kid is here somewhere......
These words written by ourselves and others tend to consume us and intrigue us. But we love it:)
Sharyn, This is great I can so relate to it thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful, Sharyn. I love reading this poem from word to word. Thanks for writing this. Rated up! Have a nice weekend!
Prasetio,
Your hub made me laugh in recognition! I think at least all the reading at least beats TV...lots of new things to learn here. I agree with Sunnie, you are so supportive of other writers, I know I have felt encouraged by your comments often. I hope you find that 36-hour day so I can read more of your work!
Great poem! I loved it. I know exactly how you feel. I want to keep reading and reading but at the same time get something of my own written. I have so much on my to do list...but it can wait another day.
Good Morning Sharyn,
I love this poem! It is so true and lovely! I have found I am on hubs constantly too. It is so hard not to read such wonderful hubs. I am an insanely early riser as I take my little grandson to daycare then head to work. When I write, I dabble saving it on word, then dabble somemore..I am a dabbler..lol a little here, a little there..Before I know it a couple hours have gone by. You are so suportive of everyone and your hubs are wonderful! Thank you for sharing your wonderful work.
I sooo agree with your sweet poem. There are so many great writers, like yourself I might add, I feel like a kid in a candystore running from jar to jar, yet not even scratching the surface of so much to taste...;P
