I Want To Be Yours

Updated on March 14, 2013

You see what I don't,
Uncluttered by selfishness and unrestrained by desire;
You speak what I won't.
Delivering no hurtful blows but refining with fire;
Truth from you pours, I want to be yours.

You forgive my absent plea,
Seeking no recompense for now but gathering for beyond;
You unflinchingly stand in for me;
When I ache you endure the harm and enthrone our bond;
Your love restores, I want to be yours.

You stand as a dream,
I long, I strive, I adore, I live in wonder, I fall at your feet;
You walk supreme,
All service, any task, whatever burden I fervently greet;
My love for you soars, I want to be yours.
