I Was Caught From Behind

Updated on June 9, 2016

A Real Shocker

No matter what happens during my day

I try to be optimistic

Looking for the bright side

Well this time it's a little harder

I found it odd

First to think about

Then to accept

There is no easy way to put this

As delicately as I try to word it

A subject nobody talks about or brings up in conversation

Taboo

It leaves me with an uncomfortable feeling

In the inside and out

I think I am going to sit on it for a minute

Looking for the right words or medical mumbo jumbo

To make it sound more technical and different

Maybe I could make up my own word for it

A word that no one ever thought of

One that is specific and will cut right to the chase

Something that is hard to see

Doctors can remove it

The size of a marble but no fun at all

You can live with them

I am told

Old people are more familiar than young

Taxi cab drivers and bus drivers get them from all their sitting

You can say a red light is a caution sign

I also hear woman get them from having kids

I am off to investigate

Trying to find the root of the problem

I am still startled by my strange discovery

The first part of the word rhymes with stem

The end of the word rhymes with the name of the barber on Mayberry

On the old Andy Griffith Show

It's a subject that I wouldn't want to touch with a ten foot pole

It doesn't change the outcome

It won"t go away by itself

I have a doctors appointment in two weeks

For my regular yearly physical

I was just telling my wife I don't need one

I feel great

I really don't have to go

I would be wasting the doctors time

I know my wife won't let me live this down

It's not like a bump in the rug

She is going make make me eat my words

I just ate a whole sleeve of crackers writing this

Nervous energy because I really wasn't hungry

Something to do to take my mind off what I am really thinking

Awwwe come on

I don't need this right now

Then again I don't know how it could of been avoided

So if you are bold and don't mind thinking off the beaten path

A little reality check in the world of computers

No hacker will ever hack into this

They are real people and this is off limits

Michael-Milec Good health is something to be very proud of. Little set backs throw me a curve but overall I too only take a one a day vitamin and honey for allergies. As we get older we have to be aware of our bodies changes and take the necessary action to get back to the road of a speedy recovery. Thank you for reading and sharing.

More than a poem, more then encouragement or inspiration, DREAM ON.

...there are so many ways to want to know ourselves by listening to our body, soul and spirit, - thats what we do in order to know ourselves. We can get ourselves into problem or sickens or trouble / or we can avoid it / or we can ' heal' ourselves. Medical science have advanced beyond my comprehension - and my physician knows about me e v e r y t h i n g I tell him. To keep in touch, we keep the appointments of 'regular yearly physical'; just these days was my turn - first time in three years. " 0 " problems, no medication no prescription. I love my doctor, he concluded visit wit words 'Michael, we know each other for some 23 years, - se you in twenty three years.' I like that, ' my response.

Gypsy Rose Lee I do the best I can. Sometimes a doctor provides answers I couldn't find. Feeling better and I did have to get some medicine to help clear it up. I eat right and thought I shouldn't have any problems. Forty grams of fiber a day will help. One of the wonders of getting old. Thank you for reading and commenting. Things happen and when they do you have to do all you can to get better.

You are like I am. I always say that if I am capable of standing on my own two feet I don't need a doctor. If you can live with it that is fine as long as there is no pain and it really doesn't bother you.
