In The Silken Moonlight.
To walk the chosen road
To climb the chosen hill;
To fight that broken heart
A lifetime's joy to kill.
x
To marry your chosen beau
To never taste true love;
Find your heart so whole
A passion from high above.
x
Allow your heart to feel
The joy of treasured bliss;
To run in to his arms
For that embracing kiss.
In the silken moonlight
a heart so full
to serenade
her beau her all.
Stars of sapphire
jewels of the night;
on this eve
of her dawn
her doubts her folly.
Those lips so very sweet
carried to pastures new;
a heart
confined within
the chains of expectance;
an encasement
to a barrier
of thorns
as she lay her body down
to days of old
ne'er days anew.
The twilight calls her
to rest in his arms
her prince
her saviour
to be loved and so sweetly cherished
for eternity.
To escape
from morose routines
rooted deeper and deeper from
generation
to
generation .
These ways an echoing thud
their acceptance as hollow
as false
as shallow as
cold and empty hearts.
Spite and vile spirits
oblivious to the love and beauty in life
Their corroded values
nothing but a stagnated stench.
Anticipation filled her being
her soft tears but a whisper
for this
her beau
her all.
She knew her way
her future
as sure
as the sound
of those heavy footsteps
advancing as sure
as ever.
Excitement floods through her
cursing being;
her beau her all.
Under the Old Oak Tree
silhouetted
under the silken moonlight
her prince
her beau her all.
With all her being
the nights darkness
called his name ;
on a stallion so black
as sleek
as satin
he appeared;
running into the strength of his being
gasping 'I love you'
words which told him all.
Two souls whose love would last
all through the pains of time
hearts and beings entwined;
her beau her all.
The next awaking morn
corrosive and twisted
hearts
never loved
life's paths
so cold;
Today's shame could they survive ?
Cold meats uneaten
a now insignificant feast once fit for a queen
left to disintegrate ;those saturated juices
today congealed
today a corrosive stench.
The expensive jewelled gown
hanging lifelessly
had lost its lustre !
Twisted and cold expressions
told of their silent torment !!
Hearts of steel
splintered
in this
the coldest shame of their time.
The Wedding Banns had been called
but now whispers so poisoned;
these hooded claws
their powers distinguished;
those talons of spite
crumble to the dust of oblivion
destruction
crashing
feelings so hollowed
silence a deafening void.
On the same new morn
two lovers rode
into the sunset ;
so sure of their love
dancing to their very own tune
gentle promises of virtuous strengths
their twining a moment in time
their caressing needs
all they needed
their future
a freedom
so whole
as
they reached
into their deepest hearts
unblemished love's tongues of fire
a force of eternal bliss
cleansing souls.
A strength of undying force
to burn down the barriers of generations
the words of cold hearts
making room for
a ferocious but beautiful energy
flowing through the broken dams of times gone by!!!
Truth, honesty and heartfelt love
finally broken that mould.
