Juliet's Diary Confession

Updated on May 24, 2013

Masquerade

Passion burns

hearts afire

a silent love

that has no name.

Two hearts speak not

no words they utter

a love for free

in the heart they pay.

Nothing is said

Between two or to another

Yet they know

within themselves.

Silent hearts

A masquerade

Masks in place,

As you and I play.

So much is told in a few well-chosen words! I love how much is expressed between the lines. The "masks in place as you and I play" is my favorite part...Romeo and Juliet were so young and it is so in tune with their story. ~Lurana

      Theater girl,

Real love needs no words, does it? This is absolutely beautiful, the way it reads was as if the words just placed themselves on the paper for you, from your heart to your fingertips with no effort or concentration! Absoloutely beautifully awesome!!!

I love to come and play in your poetic hubpage playground and I never want to leave and just skip my curfew but duty calls and I have to leave now for night shift work down at the local morgue, no kidding, and the busiest time there is in the dead of the night.

Sending warm wishes your way Jennifer and good karma too for another spectacular job well done.

Sometimes words are not needed; unless used to express such beauty as this poem.

Expression of love is older than the sand .. sweeter than the drops of dew from a tender flower .. softer than the wings of a butterfly... and will be impressed on the lovers soul for all eternity ....

Nicely done. I quite enjoyed it actually. You were meant to be a poet even then. :)
