How many ladders would it take
To reach the nearest star

That , my dear, would take a lot
You'd be stepping quite afar

Ladders shouldn't take much

A gleaming star looking down

To reach that gleaming star
Waiting with your dream
Make a mental note with your plan

The Lord has his reasons with his plan
He gave a mountain to climb to some
The Lord, as well gave a hill to many
His hands reached out for them to come

Others he chose to let them walk
They would then mingle and talk
Wide and more on his plan
Yet
He gave nothing
They just won't care
Ladders, he said, to give to you
To reach your gleaming star
Obstacles you will meet along your way

Just keep stepping as you are stepping
Each day will be a new day
When you reach the gleaming star
Holding your dream at the gate
Your dream sure has come true
The Lord stayed with you all the way
All the way the distance
The ladders held the steps
to guide you each of each day
The clouds were there with the star
The sky is the limit
