Land of My Fathers.

Updated on June 16, 2015
Cardigan Bay from Clifftop Hotel.
Cardigan Bay from Clifftop Hotel.

Some Things Never Change.

'Tis many a year since I returned

To the land where I was born.

The Land of Song, They call it.

Sometimes a land forlorn.

I stare up at the mountains.

Greener grass you'll nowhere see.

Meanwhile the river Teifi

Flows gently into the sea.

The sea is not always gentle.

it's hard for a boat to dock,

When waves are fierce and crashing

Into the Welsh rocks.

Wales is a beautiful country.

Small and unnoticed at times,

But a more beautiful land of

Mountains and valleys is

Surely hard to find.

The national Flower is the Daffodil

Panoramic views in Wales,

Were waiting....greeting me.

As the mouth of the River Teifi

Flowed into the Irish sea.

A Quiet part of The bay, when the tide is out. This looks as though the boats are stranded.

Lovely! All of it - the poem, photos and sentiments! It is a land of song: 'Home, sweet home is Wales' even when we've been living elsewhere for some generations.
