Let Not Our Voices Go Unheard
If we should all soon to perish, to leave from this earthen clay,
Each body to die and as our spirits do submit, all pass away.
Let not it to be so said, of any, and our voices to go unheard,
Our truest values of every heart, as seen by the written word.
There is finest hope in our words we each have to share,
A message of truth, one so made, letting none to despair.
Children of this world will have a better life, to build upon,
Brighter futures of which to relish, by our work we've done.
As we go to meet our Maker, in his brightest celestial heights,
Let us leave soundest markers, in the path, to serve as lights.
Tell of struggles, overcoming, our faiths strong along the way.
Making a preparation, defending actions that we do each day.
Shout it from every high rooftop, then sing in the loudest voice,
The rights we all have as a people, each one to have a choice.
Freedoms of this country, all earned, not ever to be taken away,
This is overseen by our watchful God tomorrow, as of every day.
