Life Is a Buffet: A Poem
Life is a Buffet: A Poem
Life is a Buffet
I wish that life was digestible,
Like a simple, well balanced meal,
But it's more like an endless buffet,
With too many choices and not enough time,
Who knows whether each bite will be bitter or sweet,
But I guess it's the mystery that keeps us coming back for more,
If everything was delectable, life would soon grow bland,
It's the 'up in the air' that opens our mouths wide,
As we chomp down on every moment,
Every chew is like a breath, letting go and grasping life between our teeth,
We appreciate every minute, whether sweet or sour,
Because it means we are truly tasting each day as it unfolds.
