Roller Coaster Life

Updated on February 13, 2013

Relationship Roller Coasters

Roller Coaster Life

I got on a roller coaster many years ago

Up up up, down, down, down

Over and over again

up, down, up down, slow, fast and all around.

Bitter, sweet, happy, sad, slow then fast, and all around.

I got off the Roller coaster a time or two to take a breath

To take a rest, to steady my feet, to feel the ground as my legs quiver from the ride.

Then I hear the laughter, I hear the cries and that roller coaster so invites.

I got on again.

up, up, up, down, down, down

up and down and all around

here I go again.

here I go again.

when will i get tired, when will i get off the ride

when will I break the circle, the up and down and all around.

I get off again with shaky legs, and arms, I stumble and I fall.

My stomach is nauseous, my head is dizzy.

I'm gonna vomit, I feel so queasy.

I have to stay off longer this time.

I don't want to hear the laughter and the cries.

I will close my ears. I will close my eyes.

Good bye roller coaster, good bye crazy ride.

Goodbye Roller Coaster Life.

Do not call me, do not text me, do not ask me back.

Goodbye roller coaster, goodbye crazy ride.

Goodbye Roller Coaster Life

Thank you Debbie. Sometimes when I write I wonder if anybody will actually read. You sure seem to be on the up and up these days. It's fun to see how quickly and how much you have flourished since your recent beginnings--you are on fire.
