Limerick - The Woman Who Squabbled

Updated on March 25, 2017

The Woman Who Squabbled

There once was a woman who squabbled.

Her head when she did was as bobbled.

No matter her rant

she'd frequently pant,

but her logic has never been hobbled!

Wooing To No Avail

There should have been more to his speech.

But loving words were beyond his reach.

Woo her he would,

If only he could.

His soft words were like a chalk's screech.

Peace Offering....

Day Late Excuse

It's not I'd forgotten our date:

the reason I'm here a day late.

The problem you see

was not simply me.

My wife told me hers couldn't wait.

When you see or hear something funny, try putting it into a limerick and share the humor. One of these came from the news item of the soccer player who thanked his wife and his girlfriend for the honor he was receiving....no, it wasn't a golfer.

These verses were funny to read.

For humor I had a great need.

      So I grabbed some grub

      Then turned to your hub.

And laughed as I enjoyed a feed.

Short and witty! Day Late Excuse is my favorite but all three deserve an applause.

Dear Ms. Leane, Limericks can be as much fun for the composer as for the reader. There are many fine limerick writers on HP. Enjoy at least one a day.
