Littered Thoughts-A Poem

Updated on January 11, 2017

Poem on Fear

Her mind becomes littered
with refuse of fear
Whilst bottles of anguish
pour "what if" in her ear
This wasteland of mind
holds her tight in it's grip
In tumultuous waters
she's like a lost ship
As the clock ticks closer
to her judgement day
Her thoughts become scattered
her peace is at bay
Turn trash cans of waste
into trinkets of gold
As you face the messenger
stand tall, brave and bold
It's a test of her faith
to face what they'll say
When results are announced
It's good news she'll pray

Cancer Anxiety Poem

I'm a lung cancer survivor who regularly receives cat scans to make sure the cancer hasn't returned. This poem illustrates the fears and anxieties that come with waiting for test results. All cancer survivor's can attest to fact that we are highly aware of our mortality which is exacerbated by waiting for test results.

Do you get nervous waiting for test results

You are very wise Nikkij. My harships in life are my best teachers. I am so much more grateful for all the blessings in my life as a cancer survivor. This was a poem about worrying about a ify catscan recently. The spot is now gone but now I have three new ones. It is worrisome but hopefully just congestion that I had at the time. Thanks for reading my poetry. I love your style of writing poetry by the way. It's amazing and very soulful. Blessings:)

one mans trash is another mans treasure, and though we go through a lot of trash and hardships in life, they make us appreciate the good that much more.

    An encouragement to you.

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him if we deny him, he also will deny us. 2 Timothy 2:12

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecc 3:1

GOD will make your health easier through his companionship and comfort. There is no better time to trust him than right now.

I'd be delighted to email something to build your faith and a wonderful healing video to watch that you feel God's presence. I believe you can be healed once you have the right attitude when watching the video

This is not one of these jokers who claim to heal and push down people.

You bet I'll listen my friend. I do try to do the, "I am healed" prayers at night but doesn't always keep that boogie man away from me. God knows I choose him and not satan but sending an email would be great. OH WAIT, I just had my email hacked and don't have an email yet. Wait until tomorrow when I get it up and running again. God Bless you my lovely sister in Christ for your support. It means a lot to me:)

You are welcome life is tuff on some of us. I keep in mind when trials come that i am a child of God. For christ was persecuted and so must i if i am a child of God.

God just want to make something of you, make you strong, give you more faith and he wants you to put all your trust in him. Do not doubt, if you do healing won't take place.

Ask God to raise up a FAITH in your heart like never before and just keep on saying i am heal i am healed no matter the symptoms the symptoms is just the devil trying to scare you.

Jesus faced the cross he never ran and face your fairs with GOD by your side.

I think i may email you something maybe to build up your faith if not tonight sometime soon you must promise to listen though ;)

So nice of you to come back with your words of encouragement, ladyjojo. I will take job as an example of the struggles I endure. I am hoping it's just the allergies and congestion but no matter what, hearing there are three more spots put me into a worldwind. Sis is trying to be strong and positive for me. She has had a couple melt-down cry's which she didn't want to do in front of me. She needs to get out her fears and just cry if she needs to but I know she doesn't want to scare me. We are just two peas in a pod and what freaks me out, freaks her out. I WILL NOT LEAVE her and the kids yet, it's not my time and I know this.

awww sorry to here about the new ones. Satan seems not to give up on you with that nasty cancer demon. I trust that God would work a miracle and the doctors won't get one spot or wrinkle upon you that you can go forth and testify of his wonderful healing.

How is your twin coping with your health problems?

Just remember despite what GOD loves you okay and so do i.

Take Job as a comfort in your troubles he was tried like no one else has been and yet he said though GOD slay me yet will i trust him ;)

Much substance behind this one. It's amazing how different powerful words with meaning can seem compared to random scatterings. They're all just words right? But the difference is astounding. This one had the power of something true and visceral. Well done.

We will be right here whenever you are ready and whatever the hope is, it will be the focus of prayers and support. There is no reason for you to fear being alone, although with your loving sister, I know you wouldn't be. I am a very good listener and you can write any time ... blow off steam ... scream ... whatever you need I will try to fulfill. God's love and His peace that passes understanding is my prayer for you today.
