Through the garden I walked many moonless nights
in a mire of wilted delight,
looking at Wild Orchids through solemn gray eyes,
contemplating the starless covered skies,
listening for my Love's lamenting cries.
Through the velvet sacred pass,
I halt to find,
my Queen has risen alas.
A heart that shines so high
even the herald angels sigh
a miracle of loves stately decree
whatever they say rescue me.
Siren, I hear the bard of vision so near thee,
kiss me, love me, set me free.
Your prince wishes to dance
embellish daily your natural fragrance
in blinding blissful romance.
Bequeath my labored soul,
melt my heart of truest gold,
Cradle my glory mountains high,
and let the dark clouds pass by.
Delicate dove eyes,
beauty wide and free,
you are eternally dear to me.
