Loving or Losing
Search for Love
If one doesn’t know in life’s day by day,
What his true love is thinking,
He’d find out this for sure,
That one way or the other,
He’s loving or he's losing.
Leave too much for chance,
Or drift too far away,
He can’t guarantee devotion;
Love grows cold, distant,
So he’s loving or losing.
Hearts not nurtured each day,
Minds not together each night,
Loves not locked by the heart,
Be sure of this one thing;
He’s loving or losing.
She may say she’s his,
He may say he’s her true-love;
But is it true, loves given free,
Can they certify, guarantee this;
Whether it’s loving or losing?
Commitments are good,
The vows may they hold,
The thoughts between these weld,
But be sure of this position;
They’re loving or losing.
Love held very tightly,
Kisses given every nightly,
Hugs meaning love’s still caring,
Hearts reaching deep inside;
Prove you’re loving or losing.
One walking away,
The other in love pain;
One who adores you,
One who despises you;
Which is it, loving or losing?
Roses are red, tears are shed,
Flowers that never bloom;
Hearts that often fade,
These say a million words,
Whether you’re loving or losing.
Never give up your dream,
Never quit your reaching out,
Let loves fires never grow cold;
In your heart it is still proving,
Making the chances of loving or losing.
To find the dream of the heart,
Is the most sought after part;
Of the inquisition of man,
For a woman to hold his hand,
While he’s loving or losing.
