MANY ANGELS

Updated on February 23, 2012

How many angels~

Do I see~

Watching over thee? ~

I see a fleet of~

One hundred and three! ~

Be at peace my friend~

They are here for thee.

Their wings shimmer~

Pointed and curved~

Bright with soft yellow~

Each feather outlined~

With a fluffy ruffled fur.

The glow of their halos~

Alternating gold, silver and pewter too~

Tilt as their perfect faces~

Look down upon you.

Their robes are draped~

From head to toe~

Each a different color of~

A fluorescing rainbow.

Cinched at each waist~

A belt of fine spun rope~

That sparkles of tiny glitter specs~

Woven with hope.

Their skin tones so pure~

As different hues of color never seen before ~

Seem to radiate love with no demur.

Oh how their bodies circle~

Your bed with great warmth~

No evil can touch you~

They protect you from harm.

Their arms are lifted~

Slightly bent inwardly~

As they praise the LORD~

And do HIS bidding so carefully~

They sing in a high pitched whispers~

That only they and GOD understand~

But innately we can know~

It is healing prayers that are at hand.

So relax my friend~

Take solace in this reflecting time~

For it is an occasion of believing~

Of which is promised to be yours and mine.

How many angels~

Do I see~

Watching over thee? ~

I see a fleet of~

One hundred and three! ~

Be at peace my friend~

They are here for thee.

I am sorry but I don't have any appreciation for poetry, and it was my mistake for intruding on your hub.

      Sorry

It is a poem not actuality ib radmasters. although I do appreciate your interpretation & knowledge of the bible.

This poem was only meant to comfort, not to be a theological discussion.

However you might want to learn a little about poetry and the writer’s privilege and rights not only to use an imagination but even to make up words when needed. It is called a poetic license.

      In addition to this ~

This poem was written from my imagination as I felt to comfort a friend who is very ill; you should not be taking it literally in a biblical sense.

As well your time as a Christian I would think better spent sending out pure love and encouragement to others, rather than picking them apart in a negative way.

I am not mad at you ib radmasters, I only hope you have learned something viable in this discussion about poetic writing, imagination, and maybe as a Christian how your time could be better spent.

Try and think to yourself and imagine this question “How would Jesus handle this and what would he do?” I think you would find Jesus being much more open minded, understanding the artist, and treating everything with a lot more love and kindness.

May you have a wonderful day ib radmasters, and be filled with great peace.

      PURE LOVE

      Lisa

Does your God believe in lying?

One third of 103 is 34.33, it doesn't compute, you failed bible study.

      BTW, how many are female
