Monster in the Frame: a short poem
art & poetry by Brian Loewer
A Short Poem: Monster in the Frame
Paint me as a villian,
with shades of black and blue,
and use the darkest colors
to accent all my hues-
Make me as a monster
to eat up all your pain,
and use the widest strokes,
to brush me with all shame.
Cover up your canvas,
with a remnant of myself,
and on your walls hang
onto everything you've felt.
Display a twisted face
and horn me as the devil,
because in your mind- I'm
A sorcerer of evil.
Paint your frustration
and make me with a swipe,
with out a resemblance
to any aspect of my life.
Just know it isn't me,
as you sign it with your name,
wash off all your brushes
and leave me out to hang.
