Novel in My Head - Answer to Billybuc's “the Greatest Writer No One Has Heard Of”

Updated on January 2, 2019
Source

Invitation to the Pity Party

Inspired by William D. Holland – To billybuc and our Fellow Authors

It seems to me that Bill (billybuc) was/is in a funk and to Bill I want to say “Thank You” for your “Pity Party” invite.

My note to Bill

Bill,

I am writing a poem to you and all our friends

To kick you out of this funk

That you or any one of us is in

And it turned into a sonnet

About how we authors love to write

The Novel inside my head

© by Shyron Shenko

It is obvious that you have read

My one and only novel

And with that being said

I don’t know how you got to it

In amongst the clutter

Because it has not been published

And it’s still inside my head

Thank you for the invite to your pity party

Pity you and pity me

Just look at what you have started

But you must surely know

You will never be forgotten

By the greatest “Author” that anyone could know

As He continues to write

About all the greatest “Authors” that He knows

In His book of Life

Just imagine if God had writer’s block

He might omit you or me

Going by the Book

I'm still looking forward to when you finish (in a book) this great story you've started. I think it would (will) be truly exceptional. Posting this story on AH & FB.

Blessings dear friend. I hope you are taking extra care, now that this state has opened up, to stay safe.

      Hi Shyron

Hope you are well. If you are a lover of books, you need to write a book. Best method is to get the complete story in your head first. Then write short summaries of each chapter. Easy, no completing the novel is not easy.

I finished my third novel in December. But in the draw it stays until I get the strength to edit it one more time.

Write your novel. Just do it.

I think you have more than one superb novel in your head. I wish you would write them. I have read that there are lots of people who have made great accomplishments in their later years. I'm told it's never too late . . .

Back to post this article on AH & FB.

Regarding your most recent comment: What possible reason could there be for going through all of our tribulations if we aren't going to remember them?

Hope all is well with you. Blessings, dear friend. Be well.

Wouldn't it be great if we could all get the books that are inside our heads out where they could be read and considered? Writing is an amazing thing because it often touches more lives than we will ever know, and sometimes it makes a difference.

Just yesterday I read that every experience we have and everything we do changes us just a little bit (and sometimes a lot), so that we're never the same again.

Do we writers ever stop to realize the influence and power we wield with our words? And not just in our closeby surroundings, but everywhere in the world that our words are viewed.

      Posted to AH & FB.

      Blessings and hugs dear friend.

Cee, thank you for the comment., you are a true friend.

I am sure that God is not afflicted with human frailties, forgetfulness or mental blocks.

When I get my new body, I will fly around to watch over those I love and I don't think I will remember the trials of today.

Blessings and hugs to you dear friend.

I don't think God is afflicted with human frailties, like forgetfulness or mental blocks. Once we get our new bodies that will not be corruptible like the ones we have now that are subject to disease and other weaknesses, we will not have issues with forgetfulness or mental block either. Sharing this on FB.

Hope your days are not too difficult. Blessings and hugs dear friend.

      Hi Shyron,

This was certainly a different hub to read...not only because of your poem at the top for Bill but also the prose responses you posted to comments and some you got in return. You must have had a lot of fun with this one!

As to being written out of the story...as long as we are in His book of life...we will continue on in an even better way. That is a nice thought!

If this world is a computer simulation, who is pressings the keys? Why are we allowed to have computers inside a computer? Who fixes the simulated computer when something goes wrong? I hope that someone writes in the script that all is well with you.

We sold ALL of John's farm equipment yesterday.

Hope you are staying in where it is cool.

I was going to call you last night, but we talked to Kevin for four hours and both phones went dead. I will try to call you tonight.

I've read that this world is nothing more than a computer simulation. Some scientists insist all the signs and proof that we are only someone's imagination are there and irrefutable. If they are correct, any one of us, or all of us, could be written out of the story at any time. Sharing.

Hope you are surviving the heat and staying in where it's cool. Blessings and hugs to you dear friend. Take care . . .

Ruby, Ruby my gem of a friend

Your ideas are spinning around and around

I will spin a fictitious yarn just for you

A tall tale I hope will leave you spell bound

With a mysterious clue where the gold can be found

Where love and passion can be found

With a run-away bride still wearing her gown

Her heart still aching for the last love she let down

So Blessings and hugs dear Ruby, I must get it done

Or I will still be sitting here writing with rising sun

      Mike,

I am thrilled with your poetry

About going on a writing spree

If I should pop the cork on the Bordeaux

I am afraid in my head it would start to snow

And white-out my words and do it slo…..w

Things could get fuzzy real quick

In fact I would probably get really sick

      Your encouragement did the trick

You have awakened my muse and gave her a kick

So… here I go, I’m back on the trail

To ferret out facts and spin a tall tail

You say " A novel is in your head "

Would it be a mystery or series thread?

Perhaps a comedy with a romantic twist?

Or a fantasy of a lad on a magical quest?

Or a drama involving a conflict between lovers

Or a murder when wife's husband discovers

The possibilities are emerging from my rhyming mind

My muse telling me to chill, she's so sweet and kind

Guess I've given you enough ideas to think about?

When your novel is published, give me a shout...

      Oh so clever

      But never say never

      Drop in the nickle

      and pull the lever

      ...

      Let the novel go

      you are in control

Pop the cork on the bordeaux

The words will flow and flow

      ...

No need for you to postpone

Find your meter and your tone

      You too can be unknown

Like the rest of us have shown

      ...

      ...

      Happy fourth of July
