LET ME TELL b. Malin

Before I start, I just want to say I just got my "Mac" set up in a new location. It was like losing my best friend for a week....But now we're back and ready to write again. Hooray!

As much as I Love my home on the Jersey Shore.

Of which you all know that I absolutely Adore!

I, b. Malin am not a WINTER PERSON.

Need I say more?

SO, this year, for the very FIRST TIME,

Lover Man and I decided to make like the Birds,

And migrate SOUTH to a SUNNIER shore.

Only instead of flying, like the birds on high.

We took the "PT Cruiser" and filled it to the Sky.

Destination F-L-O-R-I-D-A!

Warm weather air delight!

But alas, alack, I could sit on a Tack.

We are witnessing HISTORY here...

Something unheard of here.

Oh Florida, Oh Florida, I've come undone.

I expected to see lots and lots of WARM SUN.

Instead it's windy and not much fun.

I see two pools, one's Heated, the other not.

On the Inter Costal Water Way.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, the weather man says,

The COLD SPELL is leaving, Until NEXT WEEK.

I'm suddenly at my Peak.

We will walk on the Beach,

And breathe in the COOL salty air.

Holding hands as we look up at the sky,

And take in the Blue, Green Ocean,

With a breathtaking sigh.

And tonight when we turn down the lights.

I'll say a "little prayer" as we HUDDLE under the covers.

For WARM, not hot, SUNNY weather,

As I blew a kiss back to my Jersey Shore.

I'll see you in the Spring,

And fall in LOVE once more!

I've met a few people here from Michigan...and everybody here is very nice. I don't think I could live here year round. However yesterday was nice to swim in a heated pool, out doors. We look forward to seeing the sights, seeing old friends, but when springtime comes, it's back to the JERSEY SHORE! Thanks James for stopping by.

I enjoyed your poem. I moved to Florida nineteen years ago from Michigan. I enjoyed it very much but last year I moved back up north. Enjoy your time there. Much to see and do. I hope the weather improves for you. :)

I guess I just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't fall off the map. "Prose form" just happened, that's what my fingers wanted to do. I miss my Jersey Shore, but like birds we went south for the warmth. Ha, Ha, which today is still COLD and now mixed with Rain. Hey FLORIDA shine on me!

Ok, I get it, you like Florida? Why did you use Prose form when it would be as effective to use paragraph method?

Thanks dianeaugust, I know I shouldn't "Bitch"....but I just thought Florida, land of sunshine and warmth...well we shall see. I do love the Palm Trees, they are beautiful, with personalities all their own!

I can easily relate to you setting up your 'Mac' in a new location. I did that recently because I was decorating but now my "Mac' is back! And I am writing again after a few weeks away from it - So happy days! lol

Hope you see your happy sunny days soon!

      God bless and enjoy Florida!
