On Watching the Breath
A brief poem about meditation
Sitting with closed eyes and heart open to the universe
I breathe in
Feeling the rush of cool air to nostril
I breath out
And I find peace
I breathe in
Feeling the rush of cool air to nostril
I breathe out
And I find love
I breathe in
Feeling the rush of cool air to nostril
I breathe out
And I find forgiveness.
A Simple Guide to Meditation
1. Wear comfortable clothing.
2. Find a quiet place. Sit comfortable in a chair or on the floor. Lotus position is not required.
3. Don't try too hard. Just let it come naturally.
4. Begin to inhale and exhale through the nose for at least five minutes.
5. Enjoy the quiet and the stillness.
6. Take time to enjoy "being" and not "doing".
