One night

As I walked one night

One dark

And dank

I looked around and my heart sank

No one around

No one to thank

No one to see

No one for me

No one at all

No one here

No one there

Then I stumbled upon souls a 3

With the darkest stare

Up stood my hair

I asked then their names

The first said with dust upon his breath

I am loneliness

The next with a crack of his skeleton jaw said

I am pain

Then the next with smoke pouring from his eye sockets

I am FEAR

Then in unison

We are yours

We hold you here

You may not leave

We keep you here

Chained in loneliness

Chained in pain

Chained in fear

We will keep you here

And you will never be free

I turned and ran

Hands shaking

Knowing what they spoke was truth

I ran as fast as I could with all my heart and all my might

When a cliffs edge came in sight I stopped and turned

Their they were merely feet from me

The first with a raspy tone said now it is pain you will fear

For it has been Fear that you have felt

The second walked forward and pushed me back

I stumbled from the cliff

Chains came from all around

Grabbing me holding me tight

Almost unable to move I began to fight the most I could

Then the first again came to me

But alone this time

He said now it is loneliness

He once again pushed me back

I thought I had no where left to fall but down I went

And landed softly in my bed

Cold sweat dripping down my face and chest

Shaking I could not forget their words

Or their faces
