Our Last Days?
Are these days to be our last days,
Will we be given one more chance,
To make amends, do what's right,
In this, our life's humanistic dance?
Can we change our own behaviors,
Rectify those wrong choices made,
Improve the face of this grand earth,
Go on with our great race's parade?
Is there but one more forgiven act,
in our Maker's own book of all life,
Must we succeed in our destinies,
Overcome challenges and strife?
May we win back our fond memories,
Those that showed how much we care,
Shall tomorrow be a better new day,
One where it's all goodness we share?
How may we win our race we're told,
If we do not all have a common goal,
One that behooves souls on this earth,
To prove our own humanity's worth?
If tomorrow is but our one last time,
Of life's wondrous universal rhyme,
Let us each make the most of today,
Rejoining our hands, forever to stay!
