Poetry - Poem about 'Substantial part duplicated'

Updated on September 4, 2014

Duplicate Content

What lies deep in your memory filing cabinet?

Actually, we read that much as writers and retain that much information that it actually isn't too difficult to write something you think is all your own idea when effectively you have just regurgitated something you have stored away in your memory filing cabinet.

Before you go..

Did you like my poem?

See results

Substantial part duplicated

I’ve been trying to write a hub

Quoted straight from my heart

But every time I try to post

It tells me that its duplicated

in some substantial part

So somewhere on the world wide web

There is another me

Trying to get a message out

For all the world to see

How terribly frustrating

That I cannot talk to her

And tell her that I know everything

That we both want to share

That if we work together

We might get our message out

And hopefully our laptops

Won’t feel it

when we scream and shout.

I get the same feeling when I write, don't know if i've read a similar article and i'm duplicating it, sometimes I wonder if it's people who have passed over sending messages through my writing.

oh i like it very much Leni. Here's my take on this topic and a fun little diddy i wrote on the topic just now Enjoy!! :) lvh

I met someone at the theater today,

"I'm sure I know you" she was inclined to say,

Somewhere, somehow, my damn little twin,

I hear she's in town, pretending she's kin.

I told the lady twasn't me she saw,

then I waited for a pregnant pause.

she asked me her name "Oh could it be Sue?"

i winked my eye and said, Really, I haven't a clue!"

Like writing in the mirror, huh? They say we all have a duplicate spirit out there somewhere. I guess yours decided to take up writing too! Interesting poem. Thanks for sharing. WB

    In my minds eye

I can see it so very clear

But when it comes to writing it

My claims to it are not there

    Words

    Sentences

    Paragraphs

    Punctuations

    Editing

    And DOUBT

    Plaque me throughout

    But finally finishing a project

Helps to clear the cobwebs out

    So In my own defense

I'd like to make it known

    Although others before me

Have made the words their own

I have a common theme to it all

    Learning

    Writing

    Critiquing

    Makes Authors of us

    Great and small

    Thank you leni sands
