You have the power to choose powerful words
Words have the power to build or break, to decimate or make. If words are chosen carefully, they can make you the most powerful person on the face of the earth. Thoughtless words hurt and cause pain. They break relationships and bring no gain. Even if your intentions are not bad, a poor choice of words can drive people away from you and cause much damage. What gain can there be in harsh words? Consider what you say and speak to create and uplift. Encouraging words are indeed like the rain that fall on dry grounds, it makes the land fertile and helps it produce much fruit. Choose what effect you want to achieve today …. choose positive words.... A Positive attitude will take you much further than negative thinking ever will.
Powerful words - Choose words of power
Sharp words like knives,
they fall and slice,
the heart that loves,
turning warmth to ice,
wounding the soul,
and sealing up tight
the lips that smiled,
in loving light!
They scar memories,
with darkened spots,
cause love to freeze,
and tangle in knots,
Festering wounds,
they leave behind,
that hurt and bleed,
with thoughts unkind.
They rip apart,
the very heart,
that with love swells,
and in goodness wells.
Oh! hold them back,
don’t let them fall,
pause the attack,
with outspoken gall.
Think awhile,
before you spill,
words that rile,
and speak so ill.
Cease them now!
speak words of love
that gladden hearts
and make a new start!
