Practice What You Preach

Poem by Shyron Shenko
Poem by Shyron Shenko | Source

Practice, Practice, Practice

Practice every day

To make all evil obsolete

And make the evil and devil go away

Practice, Practice, Practice

Let's all practice weaving

All the Good Words

Through the fabric of our Souls

Practice, Practice, Practice

It is the only way

To ever reach perfection

On the Judgment day

Practice, Practice, Practice

Practice what you teach

Then no one can ever say

You don't practice what you preach

      Where are you Jo (Grace) we your loyal followers miss you. I know I feel disheartened also, because of the up and down roller coaster we are on here on HP who knows maybe I will follow you soon.

      Blessings and hugs my dear friend.

      Au fait, thank you for the comments and for sharing.

      It is as I said before, it is the dad to day living that is hard and the judgement day will not be hard unless we made it that way.

      Blessings and hugs dear friend.

      It's been a long time since I practiced anything. I think the only thing I ever practiced was the piano and sax. Everything else either worked or it didn't. Usually it did.

      In fact we will never be perfect through any effort of our own. We will be made perfect when it is time to transform to the next world.

      Sharing this excellent poem. Hope you were able to have peaceful rejuvenating sleep las' night. Blessings dear friend. Take care . . .

      Au fait, thank you for the comment.

      I do not fear Judgement Day, it is living and waiting for that day that is hard.

      Yes, our mayor has vowed to get Councilman Gelbman off the council. Have you ever heard of people who do corrupt things and then blame others for the very things they did? And the news paper prints the story as if Mr. Gelbman really did those things. Newspapers should be more responsible.

      John is really tired, but still pushing himself to work.

      Blessings and hugs to you also.

      I need to practice transferring videos from my phone to my computer, but I don't know how to do it. Have tried to find the directions/info online, but it doesn't seem to be there. It's different because apparently my phone and my computer aren't readily compatible.

      If one has given their heart and faith to Jesus He will work through that person so that their deeds are good, and they are already forgiven their transgressions. Anyone who is saved need not fear Judgment Day.

      Hope you and John are both well. Saw something in the paper about FM deputy mayor pro tem Gelbman and ethics issues today.

      Blessings and hugs for you. Take care . . .

      Giving this another share. Hope you and John are well and ready for the heat to come back. It was so nice when it was cool . . .

      Blessings . . .

      Au fait, how can I thank you for all that you do? Yes is so hot, to hot, but what can we do? we have to get things done out side. The lot next to us sold and we have to get the fence up ASAP.

      John does not feel like working today so we are in the house, until he gathers some strength.

      Blessings and hugs to you my dear friend.

      Practice is something we must often do to maintain the skills we have. I'm sure you've heard the phrase, 'if you don't use it, you will lose it.'

      Sharing.

      Very hot again today and to be worse tomorrow and Sunday. I hope you are taking frequent breaks to cool off and drinking plenty of water if you are working outside. Take care of yourselves first so that you will be able to do the other things you want/need to do.

      I hope you understand that I keep harping about taking care of yourselves because I care and I would hate for something awful to happen to either of you. It isn't for the purpose of being critical or finding fault. Blessings and hugs . . .

      I must say that Dolly and this song remind me of my beautiful southern Momma. She was an inspiration on the value of doing my best and 'practicing until I got it right'.

      Your work and YOU inspire me as well, dear Shyron. Thanks for bringing Mom to me today for some TLC. Love, Maria

      Hello Shyron,

      I just love this poem, the photo and how you arranged the very true words inside the photo. How very true it is about "practice what we preach". Thank you for being a support and I am so blessed to call you sis and friend. Shared, up! :-) Shalom

      Au fait, I thank you so much my dear friend, you will never know how much you mean to me, or how much I appreciate everything you do.

      And I am praying that only good comes to you.

      Yes death comes to everyone sooner or later, we are all terminal, and you can never tell when it is your time or mine.

      And yes the Bible is the set of rules.

      Or as I read somewhere:

      B=Basic

      I=instructions

      B=before

      L=leaving

      E=earth

      Oh, I think that was in an e-mail from you.

      So once again I thank you for voting this poem up and BA. Sharing, and pinning to AH.

      Excellent poem as usual, and I enjoyed Dolly's song too. I can't agree with her entirely though. I don't believe we have learned our lesson. We seem to respond to hate and mean spiritedness with more of the same.

      As we get closer to the end Satan will become more and more determined and frantic to destroy all, and especially every person of God that he can, so as bad as the ugliness in this world is right now, it will only get worse. Much worse.

      The Bible says it will be as it was in the time of Noah when Christ returns. Do you remember reading about how things were then? So bad God decided to destroy the earth with water and start over. So bad that it wasn't safe even for men to walk in the streets lest they be raped.

      No works and no amount of practice can make us perfect for judgment day. Only God can make us perfect for we are lost without Him and our own deeds are like dirty rags, our thoughts only evil continually. Jesus said so. Our only hope is in giving up control of our lives to Him and letting Him work through us to do good things and to prepare us for everlasting life.

      Keep in mind that Jesus was not always amiable and sweet. Remember how He tipped over the selling tables in the temple and how He warned the sadducees and the pharisees that if they didn't change their ways they would be lost. He called them hypocrites for they were the ones who held themselves up as the example of Godly perfection and judged others by themselves when they were anything but Godly. Lots of people like that today too.

      Likewise, the prophets God sent before Jesus came, were not sweet and meek and pleasant. They were often hated and abused because people didn't want to hear what God had to say through them. Sometimes what people need to hear and take seriously are not kind or sweet words of love. Sometimes people need to be told to get themselves straight with God or terrible things will befall them, not so much here as later when it really matters.

      Death can come to anyone, but the older we get the closer our time to move on gets as well, as we all should know. Time is fleeting and putting some things off is not always wise . . .

      God often sends messengers that most people would never imagine are here doing His work as directed. If He sent His angels we would all be scared to death because they are indeed fearsome looking, but many of us would take them very seriously too, as a result. We wouldn't question them, but instead God sends someone no one is likely to fear or in some cases take seriously. Someone many people feel confident in demeaning and poo-pooing. Someone who may not be the ordinary person they seem to be.

      Before the end God will send many messengers to warn people to set their lives straight while there is still time to do that. There will be many messengers with anti-Christ messages too, and so a person will need to know their Bible so that they are not fooled.

      Voting this poem up and BA. Sharing, and pinning to AH. While I don't always say so, I appreciate all that you do Shyron. I hope you and John are having a peaceful and enjoyable evening. And yes, I hope Walter's arm is doing well. I just took for granted that you would tell me if it were otherwise. Take care . .
