Quiet Picturesque Scene
As the morning snow falls~
Flakes plenty descend in silence~
Making the landscape~
A life event to cherish.
A landscape abandon by wildlife~
Void of usual frolicking of neighborhood birds~
Creates a lonely chill~
As I realize amazing not even is there wind to be heard.
Trees snow covered~
With bowing down branches paying reverence~
As to their MAKER~
The event humbling to me~
Reminding my mind of my Almighty CREATOR.
The bird bath piled with white~
Resembles a snow cone to my delight! ~
As there is not even a breeze~
I realize the chimes hanging from the porches beam~
Is so still that it feels in dire plight~
Almost begging to dance free to my sight.
On the garden path~
A clay angel has been tipped by the heaviness of~ Rapid snow~
Off balancing the poor little~
Terracotta soul.
Tilted piled with the non ending~
Weighty white soaked laced handkerchief ~
Tiz not as much the oriental lamps fault~
As the black iron hooked leaning staff in which it is hanging~
Struggling barely now to stay attached~
As the decorative lantern is endangered to fall dangling.
As my mind ponders the deafness of empty hush~
On this here mountain top~
I have moments thinking that life is stifled and dull~
Yet than I must admit the quiet picturesque scene~
Is unique and beautiful as it be.
