Sakura (Hope for Japan)
Flowers
Temporal beauty
Sakura
I am awed by the majestic beauty of the Sakura, after the Tsunami that hit Japan, I was inspired to write a poem about it...That after all the fiasco, they can revive and start a new life.
The people are grief stricken
The earth has always been shaken
The lights are dimmed and out
They can do nothing but pout
Amidst the rubbles, there rises
A very beautiful thing that stretches
Bathed in the glow of the light
Might behold it, what a sight!
Alas! Tis but just temporal
A week’s worth, yet, ethereal
Enjoy it, while it’s there
It surely creates a convivial atmosphere
The Sakura is just but fleeting
Still it brings joy to a being
It reminds us, whatever obstacles barging
Predicaments that are barraging
If there’s a will, there’s a way
As an adage says
Whatever may come forth
Solutions underneath its worth
