Life Is Like A Tree, Stand Tall And Weep

Updated on March 16, 2011

Food For Thought

Lookin out of the window, at everything green

Life is just a challenge, growing like a tree

Strong dark trunk, leaves blowing in the wind

Birds feathers flutter, chirping in the spring

Limbs long and straight, others knarled and entwined

Wind blowing hard, branches swaying in time

Problems altogether sorted, friends by your side

Forests all supported, trees dancing in a line

For the winds howling tale, to listen as a guide

At the edge of the forest, looking out, inside

Deep and dark green, splattering of summer light

The all knowing owl, feathers spread wide and white

Listen to the wind, mistakes are riding high

Down in the roots, families are growing

Guidance rules, children are knowing

Life is just a dream, it's just the way we live it

Like the strong dark trees, reaching for the sky

Easily turned, but not to do or die

Emerging from the moss, little eyes are blinking

The strong dependant boughs, the little children thinking

Sunlight today, knowledge in its making

Rain tomorrow, nurturing the living

Looking out of the window, at the strong dark tree

Overshadowing everything that we can see

Friend or foe, life is for the living

But tell me now, what about the dreaming?

Fossillady thank you so much for your encouragement, I still am not really comfortable writing poetry, but I will keep trying. By the way, hate to say this but Fossillady is so uncomplimentary lol

Genna East thank you for stopping by. I love to write and be creative, but I do struggle with poetry. At the moment I am only playing around with it, in the hope that out of my ramblings I may even write a good poem. Thank you for your comments.

I love the use and selection of your words...they are imaginative yet create a realistic picture simultaneously. Nicely done!

You manage to amaze me with each and every one of your hubs...

Check this out... I follow on hubs "vijayanths". He listed the top ten internet sites you can make good money for your writing. When I read it who did I think of? YOU YOU YOU YOU.... SOOOOO I wrote down the names of the 10 sites.... SMILE

      1. Triond

      2. Squidoo

      3. Bukisa

      4. Helium

      5. EHow

      6. Constant Content

      7. Academia Research

      8. Review Research

      9. Factoidz

      10. Infobarrel

Now if you go to his hub page beside each of the companies listed he tells you more of what you will want to know. Why kill yourself going to each site..

I am going to give it a try. What do I have to lose? Or what do I have to gain?

Let me know if you checked anything out and I will let you know too if I joined anything...

Shall we say together in our minds....
