Something Right (A Poem)
my life is darkened by a life of hate
life starts when snowfall turns to acid rain
skies gray and dank my father is my fate
the drink will take over and show his pain
change seems so far away, this world we share
makes hope run cold like veins of ice in spring
it casts me off with no way known to care
I feel so low don't know what life will bring
yet you came in my life and change gave way
to love with blue skies over my head
you hold me close and show me that you'll stay
then I lay down in our soft loving bed
tell me you love me always, and tonight
the world has finally done something right.
