Sometimes, There is not enough of me and too many of you.

Too Many of You

Source

Artist is Bohumil Kubišta. He is from Bohemia according to the information found with image.

Sometimes, All of You is not enough

Orange walls

Surround me

A memory

A tangerine dream

Painted the day

You landed your ass in jail

I did not stop until every wall

Enveloped me in their arms

That had once belonged to you

A “you” I would later discover

Had been bitten by a love

So white, so pure

No other could replace

You had moved here

To escape her

But she found you

And you held on

Not enough concrete

To finish

Not enough

Never enough

For no matter how you tried

You could not hide

She was everywhere

All the time

You pretending

She was long gone

How I wanted to believe

In You

How I wanted to believe

You would see

That your were strong

You were free

It was okay

To let go of that queen

Still, her frosty hands

Would find you

Sharpening your tools

Just to make dust

You had been my sniper

my boy scout

my lover

my friend

“Eyes in Front”

You would say

Convinced predators

Roamed every street

In which I would think

Yeah, I am looking at one

Can remember the day I came home

And you had moved in…

“Temporary”

You had said

Seven years later

I had your Chevy F-whatever hauled off

I stood my ground

This time was for good

You and You and all your other You-s

Were no longer welcome in my home

And now I sit in that same room

Tapping away on my keyboard

Telling the world

How there once was this guy…

Who could have had a home

Warmth

Support

A soldier with a throne

And while I finally had enough

I do hope you know

I did give it my all

To You and You

To all of You

Wow Kim, fantastic poem. Sounds very personal which makes it even more powerful. That song by John Legend and Lindsay Stirling is one of my favourites at the moment. Great writing as always. Cheers.

I'm with John, Kim, this was a powerful piece of writing...sad, but in the end, empowering. Well done, my friend.

Sorry about your Seahawks. I only caught the second half, but I found the game to be pretty exciting. Thank you for your kind words. It makes me feel empowered when others call my stuff "empowering." Thank You!

      wildove5,

I will say an extra prayer for you and your daughter. In this piece, I was attempting to show how hard it can be on the ones who loves those who struggle with addiction. If you were able to relate, then I am sorry that you have a loved one struggling and I am pleased that I was able to capture this state of affairs in such a way that those who see it would get where I was coming from. Your up and share is most appreciated.

      Jo,

Any time I receive compliments from you, I feel extra-special for you are such an accomplished writer. Thank you for your up and share as well.

      Many Blessings to you Both,

      Kim

Wow, what a poem Kim. I hear and feel the sadness and bitterness but I also hear and feel a strong woman who is 't putting up with it anymore. A powerful poem. I love your poetry Kim. It is so raw yet beautiful.

      Suzette,

I am trying so hard to be the strong woman I know is still here somewhere.

Thank you for being you. I am truly blessed to have so many strong and wonderful women in my life. The fact that they are like you--awesome writers just makes it all that much better.

      Hugs,

      Kim
