Spring Morning - Poem
Spring Morning
The sun shines bright
But the cool of the night
Still clings to the morning air
The rustle of leaves
Signals a breeze
That chills my bones standing there
The glimmering dew
Kisses flowers anew
And blankets the grasses with care
While birds in flight
Sing songs of delight
And the sweetest of smells fill the air.
It’s the start of a day
And this joy fades away
As the world quickly fills with care
But just let me stay
Till the dew fades away
And burdens, I too, must bear.
