Stacy - Past and Present
Into the past and back to the future
My garage is packed full of boxes. I am not sure when those boxes will be completely empty, but occasionally while looking for something, a treasure seems to surface. This is just one of the many treasures I have found.
As in a previous hub called The Early Years, I thought this one would also be fun to share, but to do a past and present version of it. Originally this poem was done while I was in High School. It was an assignment given in what I believe to be my creative writing class.
These poems give me an indepth look at who I was back then, but more importantly, it allows me to show how I have changed. I hope you enjoy this trip into my past and enjoy coming back to the future.
The Past
Stacy
Friendly, trusting, noisy, and generous,
Sister of Jenny, Crystal and Cassandra,
Lover of beauty, mysteries, and a smile on a person's face
Who feels tired after a long day of working, anxious in a mystery movie, and sad after a funeral of my relatives,
Who needs to hear people laughing on a sunny day, and needs to earn more money to buy what I want,
Who gives appreciation to those that help, friendship to those who need a friend, and a helping hand to those that need assistance,
Who fears the darkness of night, the times when I get into trouble, and pain after someone gets hurt,
Who would like to see peace on earth, less homework on weekends, and everyone to be friends with everyone else,

The Present
Stacy
Friendly, obsessive, anxious and shy
Sister of Jenny, Crystal and Cassie
Lover of family, friends, and a good piece of writing,
Who feels the need to never stop moving, anxious about life in general, and sad when things just don't seem to go right,
Who needs to write to keep from going insane, to learn to occasionally rest, and to figure out what to do with the rest of my life,
Who gives to those who give in return, a friendly ear to those who need to vent, and too much at times to the point of not giving to herself,
Who fears the odd crackle of a settling house when all alone, leaving the closet door open when trying to sleep at night, and never remedying the relationships that have gone sour,
Who would like to see her kids unconditionally happy, her book eventually written and published, and her first paycheck from Google Adsense,
Resident of Hemet, California
