Standing on Dock 61

Updated on April 6, 2011

Standing on Dock 61 Poem

I can see all types of watercrafts, swimmers, people doing water sports, and the waves rolling on the water.

I can taste the water in the air and the lunch of those having a picnic on the lake.

I can hear the scream of joy, the roaring of watercraft engines, the howl of the wind, the splashing of the waves, and the laughing and talking of nearby swimmers.

I can smell the stench of the washed up zebra muscles, the sweet smelling lake water, and the fishing bait fishers are throwing.

I can feel the nice cool breeze going by me, the splashing of the waves on me, and the warm sun beating down on me.
