Stargazer – He’s Electric

Updated on January 19, 2014

He just crept up and took me by surprise

And I used to hate him and his styles of whatever…

Surprisingly, I’m smiling more and more.

The long week was finally over. It was freaking hectic and toxic and yeah I’d say TGIF! I was driving smoothly to that affluent place Peachy told me last night. Peachy was my coolest hang out buddy for five years now. She’s so easy going, always free, loyal, freaking funny and yeah drama free. Above all, she’s a true friend I would always say. She’s smart, she’s perky and she’s Peachy. Goodness, I sounded like cheering.

So I was there finally…in Tagaytay Highlands. It was my first time in the place and I instantly fell in love with it. The elite place was of course ninety percent green, and the second coldest place in the country. I live in a tropical country by the way so when I say cold, it means I’m in the hills. The place was so classy and exclusive and it felt like I was in LA. On a spot, you could view the famous lake in there where a little volcano silently lives in the center. I could see the pretty houses and could smell the luxury of living in there. Peachy always knows real pleasure and leisure I thought while strolling over there to find our villa.

I enjoyed strolling around and because of too much fascination, I forgot the time. Oh heck it’s almost nightfall. I told myself. I was about to phone Peachy when my steps brought me to the most stunning place I’ve seen that night. It’s a lovely slope spot where the grass was freshly mown. Did I say I love that scent very much? I don’t know why but perhaps I was a sheep before this lifetime. Oh geez whatever.. because all I knew was to lie down in there and have a perfect view of the sunset.

Oh this is more beautiful than a HD theater I chuckled to myself. I lay down there and took advantage of the heaven moment.

“I found the jewel…” Someone interrupted. I could have sworn I felt like I fell down from where I was when I heard that voice. “Here you are, cupcake. Peachy asked me to look for you.”

I blinked thrice and almost yelled, “J..Jake?” Of course it was him. Who else could it be…He’s so good at showing up on perfect timing. Perhaps sneaking up. I might as well get used to it now.

Without any word, Jake lay down on the grass beside me. “Wow, this is a pretty view.” Said he, smiling.

“Yes it is. Probably one of the most beautiful I’ve seen.” I added.

“Well, yea but I know a moment more beautiful and magical than this.” He said. I was looking straight at the lake and the sunset but I could sense he was smiling when he said that.

“Give me twenty-five minutes and I’ll tell you after that.” He replied teasingly.

Twenty-five minutes..What’s with his crazy head this time? I wondered.

We then sat down and talked about what he’s doing in the Highlands. He told me he met Peachy last week in the Highlands and he happened to own a house in the place. Peachy though owns a little villa. So apparently, my bestfriend secretly knows Jake might be with us.

Jake looked at his watch and lay down again. I lay down and inhaled the fresh air. I wondered how many minutes have passed. Then he spoke, “It’s about time.”

“Time to what?” I asked.

“Just close your eyes and open them when I say.”

I sighed..”Okay.” What’s with this guy that I follow whatever he says? I closed my eyes and just let my other senses relish the moment. For a while there, I felt nothing but him lying close to me. I could hear nothing but his breath…and my heartbeat…and the air kissing my skin. My other hand was on the grass and I felt a bolt of fire when it touched his. I wanted to open my eyes and wake up somehow but I didn’t want that moment to vanish. His hand moved closer and his skin brushed against mine. I could have sworn, I felt like I was standing at the edge of a cliff. I got so weak in the knees. I felt his hand locked to mine…then he spoke, “Open your eyes.”

The sparkling stars greeted me when I opened my eyes. And he’s right. It’s more beautiful and magical than what I saw at twilight. The lights from the city were mesmerizing, too. At that moment, I couldn’t ask for more but thank this guy…

He just crept up and took me by surprise

And I used to hate him and his styles of whatever…

Surprisingly, I’m smiling more and more.

He’s electric and I can’t help but smile…
