True Love Poems: The Moment It All Changed

Updated on June 14, 2013
Source

It was a moment in my life
Where I felt the Earth
Crumbling beneath my feet

I could not stand
My eyes were blind
My future and my path were bleak

Suddenly the heavens parted,
And down flew an angel
Smiling with radiance to light the sky

And the miracle
Of all miracles happened
I had all the answers to my questions why.

Why did she leave?
Why did I have to go?
Why God have your forsaken me?
Now all the answers I know.

Every trial
Every hardship
Was preparing me for a moment like this

So that I could look
My angel in the eyes
And know this moment of bliss.

Thank you God
For shedding the light
Upon my dark ways

I’ll never question
My hardships again
Because I know they lead to brighter days

You’ve given me life
You’ve given me peace
I am grateful for the lessons I’ve learned
And my love for you will never cease.

I was almost a goner yesterday. LOL. Had a bad accident on the highway. I was lucky to walk out of it without a scratch.

As the old adage teaches us, "out of bad supposedly comes good." Or, "there is a light at the end of the tunnel." Or, "one door closes while another opens."

In any event, your piece is a reminder that we should embrace hope. Excellent poem.

Oh, that's very sweet. Nice poem, and tribute to a loved one, as well as explaining how there's possibly light still to be found in the darkness so many are in. May they also be as lucky, and may the love stay with you. :)

No the she was someone I thought I cared about very much. The relationship ended leaving me very sad, and then I found the one I was meant to be with.

Is this about a near death experience hence seeing the angel, and the death of someone or a relationship? "Why did she leave?

Why did I have to go?"

When we lose someone that means a lot to us, we all have to honor their memory with some for of grief, but at some pint you have to push the grief out, otherwise it will drown out all thise good memories you share with that person.

I have found something great, and I believe more greatness is ahead, because life is always a struggle. If there was nothing to make us smile once in a while it would be hard to go on living.

It does Christin53, even if it's just to teach us to appreciate something good when it's in our face.
