The Ocean
The Ocean
Clouds dance across the surface
Sky reflections mirrored in blue
Picture perfect for all to see
Yellow, orange and sunset hues
The tide rises, a deep breath in
Waves grasp at the sandy shore
The tide falls, a sigh of relief
A watery current, hungry for more
Salty sprays as waves they crash
Arches of blue, green and white
Vicious and beautiful in their rage
Transparent blows in a fair fight
On the back of the breeze it echoes
Reaching up to the watching stars
A melancholy song of forgiveness
As it settles down in to dusks arms
Full of both shallows and depths
Spanning across an entire globe
The ocean is our loves reflection
It's power and strength to many, unknown
