The Perfect Truth Of LOVE

Today, one day after Valentine's Day, my eyes were caught by the question 'What’s the Bible’s Definition of Love?' posed in Hubpages' Questions & Answers, front page section. This then reminded me of a comment I made a few weeks ago in one of fellow hubber Micky Dee's hub; a part of which I rewrite here for you,

... In my knowing love, I merely smile at these foolish and let them be. It is not for me to be their judge. My role is to forgive the blind, dumb and deaf when we meet, and pass on the perfect truth of LOVE.

My comment now leads to my desire to pass on and share with you here the perfect words about Love (in my opinion), as written in the Bible, and maybe also answer that question posed in Hubpages. No, I won't preach to you. I'm not the preaching kind, nor really religious for that matter. What I am is spiritual and a lover of truth. When I hear truth, feel it, see it or know it, I am compelled to pass it on. The words below are definitely worth passing on.

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child;

when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I hope the above scripture brings you peace, joy, faith, hope, wisdom, love and understanding!

Each time I read those words above , they open my heart wider, so that I may understand what love is, what it is to be love and how to offer love.

These words teach me that I am not here only for myself, as this world promotes, but here to share love with all who cross my path; physically or vibrationally.

These words help me to keep on a righteous, divine path which hopefully draws me closer to GOD. These words humble me, so that I may feel truth when my jaded sight stubbornly refuses to see my conceit.

These words show me that there is nothing without love, and that I have nothing without love, even as I subconsciously wear the guise of charity.

In these words I rejoice knowing that all is right if I just keep faith, hope and love in me at all times.

Seek the heavenly, white light with all your heart and mind and you will discover that all our souls are One. Blessed be, and love to all.
