The Sun Comes up and Witnesses What Comes Around

Updated on September 20, 2012

Thinking... Thinking...

Funny to know that whatever we do and don't, will be witnessed by that energy of life. We can go back and see the pictures from our family and even from history itself, and still see shadows and days that passed us by. Today we felt inspired to write about the sun and its complex activity in our lives. What will happen when it becomes extinct?

Every year, or every six months, we reinvent the wheel with technology and advancements. From Menlo Park and Edison, to the launching pad at Cape Canaveral; all along the sun came up and witnessed our misery and redemption without saying a word.

From paleolithic George to fascist Mussolini, the sun was there to stare at our flaws and deepest hopes. What is behind all these? Inspiration came today with so many words, and before it went away, we grabbed our virtual quill and wrote down primal feelings without even knowing how this hub is going to end. We know we do not live forever, but recklessly commit inhuman acts in the name of progress... thinking we will wake up in a new life or probably after some freaking cryogenic miracle in a future reality show. Here we go...!

Enjoy It with Our Favorite Melody...!

Energy of Life

First day of our lives, we see its light

second day of our lives, we see it shine

third day of our lives, we feel its energy through mom's voice

Fourth day of our lives, our food is fed with that song and rejoice

Science says is half way done

4.567 billions of this yellow dwarf

But there is more than energy and giant explosions

There is more than that feeling of closure and redemption

There is more than just solar flares and magnetic fields

there is life for the mean people and the weak that stares still

The Sun will rise for the wicked and the poor

won't judge anyone until you realize it will be waiting for you at its core

Human and imperfect, we know we will end our lives

even so, we will never change our unique state of mind

the Sun is there for a reason, not ready to commit unfathomed treason

Milky way shall carry away our dreams with no apparent reason

A billion year break...for us to think...

Scientifically thinking that hydrogen will turn into helium

the Sun is more than those billion of years of disorderly pandemonium

half way done and slowly swallowing our hopes into stellar dreams

the Sun just gave us one billion years of its time for us to think...

For us to put it together, change our ways or become extinct

be just like we were supposed to be within our own means

Not being close enough to understand

the reason of those solar rings

the Sun and its powerful mantra of heat,

encapsulating life from beginning to end

Actual Sunset
Actual Sunset | Source

From our minds came these thoughts

which was just fed with an early piece of corn

deep behind all existence, our Sun kept us going to the very end

now is time for a hot coffee, and finally put away this pen

Hi Lesley, tahnks for the visit and the votes. Scary at times, we have been giving a billion years to straighten up our act, becuase after that, the sun will change its mood, and either will engulf our race, or we will have to emmigrate from a hell of a planet. Thanks again!

So sorry I missed this. What an amazing look at life and the sun. A billion years to observe. We've done our best at wasting a small portion of that sum. I hope we do a better job in years to come. Great insight and great job!

Such a moving piece about something we don't often think about...the sun...."The Sun will rise for the wicked and the poor"..."Not being close enough to understand the reason of those solar rings"... how much we take for granted. You stir those inner feelings we don't even know we have Joseph!

Well, at least we know you had your coffee when you were finished while you, and we, wait for your muse to help you write more.

    Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

Mmmm...i worship the sun...i am but a slave to it and chase it to be closer to it

i wish we could all understand that we are one people under the SUN - not any one god!

An exquisite meditation on the sun, the very sun that witnesses our loving deeds and crimes. But we do have the power to transform, living in love or fear. Whether we impact a tiny ant or an entire generation of humans, we can do so much in our short time on this planet. Thank you, Lord, for stimulating my brain cells and my very consciousness!

Voted up and interesting. The sun is such a necessary part of our lives. I feel the very big difference when sitting in the sun for awhile and feeling warm and content and then the sun going behind a cloud and even on a warm day I have to shiver. Great energy giver too. Passing this on.

    Beautiful insight, Joseph.

The energy coming from our galaxies and our solar system is amazing and I feel that we are breathing 'cause of this energy around us. It's so powerful that billions of population is able to thrive from it.

Always exploring, thanks for those deep words. You said it better than us. Life on earth is so short and so miserable at times. What is nature trying to show us? Thanks so much for stopping by!

kj force, you always putting a smile in our face. The thing is, we won't be here when all will be over. Sooner or better later the sun will colapse and take our dreams away. No money will be necessary for that dantesc final episode.

Deborah Brooks, was doing some quick research and found out that eventually earth will fall apart. We only have a billion year of precise intensity and warm effect. This sun will come after us, claiming for that eternal bill. Thanks for your words of appreciation!

Picklesandrufus, that was a cuter image and reading us twice? This is just one of the reasons that keep us going. Without readers there wouldn't be authors and writers at all. Glad to have you with us!

Sueswan. we just saw our photo Albums and saw dad and mom on the beach. The sun was there to make for a wonderful day. Looking back in time, we can see those old Daguerrotype pics and still notice that energetic shadow from our sun. Like I said, whether we do good or bad, the sun will be there like and old immutable father. Thanks!

Janine Huldie, the solar system always kept us in awe. Copernicus, Tycho Brahe and Galileo, did help us to understand those skies better. You should write a little more about that universe and amaze your students. Still wondering if planet X was really a planet...?

xstatic, I understand your concern, solar energy is there for grabs, but human interests and private investments get in the way of technological development. Thanks for checking on us!

Mary Hyatt, taking a sunbath next to baby and feeling the breeze nature around you, means something. I means that we are living a life according to a plan. When that plan will be revealed? Have a nice day my friend.

Curiad, 70 years of age compared to 5 billion years means that we are just a little piece in the project or puzzle of this universe. We will go and the stars and skies will stay the same.

Your work has a one of a kind intertwining of philosophy with logic.

I thoroughly love how you get me to think of the bigger picture.

Your writing is a challenge for us to do better. Hugs, Maria

Just remember the sun will always rise and it is up to us to decide what we will do this day, good or evil. We have no concept of time, how much more we may have. I do believe in karma. What comes around, goes around, so make our actions clear and loving..Thought provoking hub..Enjoyed Joseph..

    Hi Joseph,

"The Sun will rise for the wicked and the poor

won't judge anyone until you realize it will be waiting for you at its core"

A very thought provoking poem. The sun has the power; without it we wouldn't exist.

    Voted up and away

    Take care :)

Very thought provoking indeed and agree with Mary on this. I taught 8th grade science for a stint and taught about the solar system and the sun specifically. It's would have worked very nicely as even an introduction. Have of course voted and shared too :)

A very thoughtful piece, and well done. Would be nice if we could could cut more carbon emissions and keep things going even longer. There is a big fight brewing over coal exports now, another jobs vs environment battle. They just keep coming.

Very thought provoking Hub, Lord. The sun has been around for a long, long time, hasn't it. I am a "sun worshipper". There is nothing like the feel of the warm sun giving me and my flowers life.

I voted this Hub UP, and will share.

An interesting reflection on the process, the history if you will of time. We are but a tiny speck in the scheme of thinks.

Where would we be without it, huh? Too bad we don't see it often here in Olympia, but even without seeing it, we still owe our very existence to it. And oh, the sights it has seen over history. There is a big world out there functioning nicely despite our minuscule efforts....kind of puts things in perspective, doesn't it, Joseph?

    Well done!
