The Break
Once pansies of vibrant purple~
Gold, and crimson~
The break makes a change~
To cool floppy ferns as you are missing.
Sturdy stood the aged oak tree~
Fun loving nude~
The break makes a jagged branch~
Laying there clothed as a sharked bark stifles~
Your put off flight cut off for trifles.
Flowing in frothy turns~
Exuberance cascaded the stream as we had meld~
While the break stops up the liquid~
Of the amusement once held.
Gnomes of the garden two very much alike~
Had a particular timed danced~
Till the break came~
Stopping the prance~
Giving each soul’s single song plight mega enhanced!
Oh! How the angels worked to protect~
What the experimental spirits did project! ~
Alas! A break came to feed a dubious foe~
Your swagger changed to defect with wings hanging low.
Understanding and patience is needed~
As well as prayers~
To wait out the damage of the break to the stem~
We will stagger till time sends the end~
For flowers to bloom~
Once again!
The break must be a delay~
As we pass time~
Than and only then can we~
Again happily play continuing our twin like rhyme~
That next time hopefully you will defend!
The leaves did glisten green~
With dew drops in the morning sun~
While the break goes on~
One by one~
The leaves drop shriveled yellowed~
As we mourn the noon day summer sun~
Lessing each passing day~
My life leaf vessel empty~
While missing you this way.
