To Sit And Wait.

Updated on January 7, 2014

Good day one and all I hope you are all well !!Today's hub follows in the same thread of the last two; about life in general and how we always find the strength to overcome and also to walk onwards and upwards on sweet tenderhooks to see what other treasures life has in store for us.

I also hope you enjoy Boys Aloud singing 'Calon Lan' or to translate 'Pure of Heart.'

Source

To sit and wait

in penetrable darkness

reaching out

with heart so free.

To caress each glittering star

to be engulfed

by the sweet magical beams

of the moon

of truth

the moon

of strength

the moon

of true love.

A spell to give sweet protection

from the rushing

gushing

but at times

fearful

cruel

waterfalls of life.

Stagnant waters clear

salvation unfolds her wings

her truth

in lavish

abundance

to all

who have followed

her path

right to

the very peak

right to the very end.

A spirit

freely shines

one soul a strength sublime

that deep aroma

that muskness

for each wondrous heart

each now so ready

for the overflowing lessons to learn

from the deep bosom

of

that university of life.

Source

How can silence be so loud

oh yes that deafness caused

by nothingness;

that craving sated

that pinnacle reached

a realisation so wondrous

doors ajar

windows opaque

ladders of life

compelling

all beings

to climb;

each rung stronger than before

each climb soothed

each fresh

new step

so sure

ne'er swaying

sureminded

true

and

mesmerizingly clear;

hold that cherished gift

of life closely

with both hands

close to your heart

sweet loving

from your soul

to

share with all.

Source

Ladders of life

a time for contemplation

deep within

deep feelings felt

engulfed by doubt

riches not material

sure footed your climb.

x

Oh how my heart has wept

fear rising to the heavens

x

Lasting faith I now possess

in deep and for eternity

fears now recede

evermore my own paths to choose.

Source

From the depth of paradise

this haven I call my own

but

to share

to care

to love.

Take my hand

my footsteps to follow

creations blossom

soothing words in abundance.

Sever those invisible threads

never again to dance as

Satan's puppet:

A need so strong

so utterly powerful

to feel

to recognise

to share

what now lies before us

absorbed with great purpose

and illuminates

in deep darkness;

to lift that stagnant stench of

disrespect,

of cruelty

never allowing

old scars to heal

so roughly

deepened

with each decade

but with this stance

this new

strength so sublime

brave

contemplation

supports that brave soul

that heart now free

to heights

so caressed

and blossomed

by the faith eternal;

the faith lit up by

self worth

and

self respect.

Take my hand

and we will

travel together

and

sing life's songs

in unison

to fill the depth of paradise.

Beings courageous

New paths illuminated

Heartbeats oh so sure.

Thank you once more for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day and send you lots of love from my little corner of Wales.

Eddy.

Eddy, you have so many powerful phrases in these poems. I've read them twice. This resonates the strength of will and love to overcome sadness and darkness of spirit. Very inspirational my friend!

      Enjoy you day, Eddy.

Eddy, I will come back to read again. For sure my vision is bent from all the hiking I do, but from my view I give this high praise and dub it "The Hiker's Ode". Thank you much as I climb the day of work today, feeling more firm in my footing.

Perseverance is the word that comes to mind; never giving up and just picking yourself up to move on. We know that is your spirit even if the price to achieve it was so dear. Sharing as always! My gift back.

      Hi Eiddwen,

Another one to keep me warm on a really c-c-cold day today. (It was warmer in Anchorage, AK than Atlanta, GA this morning!)

How long did it take to write the 'Ladders of Life' part? That was good. I liked the "Only Boys Aloud" video too.

      Eddy,

How I needed to read this hub and experience the beauty of your words, pictures and the music of the boys. Have been dealing with some pretty tough health issues. Hope you have missed me while I have been gone. I have missed you and especially your hubs of hope. While not able to return to HP regularly, I am hoping that will only last for a few more weeks.

      Many Blessings,
