Today’s Choices and Tomorrow’s Commitments- Journal Challenge, Day 13

Updated on April 22, 2015

Missed Opportunity

Today I missed the opportunity to catch up on my journal challenge because I chose to be in support of other people. Instead of honoring my commitment to be the priority and focus on the projects I needed to get done, I chose to write up the meeting notes and update the contact list for The Women’s Choir, and later listened to and encouraged a sister-friend that I hadn’t spoken with in a while. Then it was time for choir rehearsal, dinner and bed.

I was good with my choices because I am an excellent support person, great listener and gifted encourager, and I get tremendous joy out of doing what I do. I felt that they were the better choices in each moment because I’ve learned and believe that relationship and people’s needs divinely outweigh my personal agenda at times.

New Commitment

Tomorrow I commit to catching up and being current with my 30 day journal challenge and maintaining a better balance between what I do for others and what I need to do for myself. I commit to maximize my time and cut back on the procrastination, so that I will have sufficient time to get things done for myself and clients, and also assist with the needs or requests from family and friends.

Today I chose to miss an opportunity for myself in order to be a blessing to others. Tomorrow I commit to begin again with balance and discipline. I choose to honor myself and the work that God has called me to do; and I commit to helping others as Spirit leads while being my first priority.

NOTE: Write Here, Right Now: 30 Day Journaling Challenge day 13 complete. Journal challenge current. Thank you, God!

Be blessed,

Jo Anne Meekins

I together with my guys ended up veiwing the excellent tips located on the website while instantly came up with an awful feeling I had not expressed respect to the blog owner for those techniques. My boys had been as a result warmed to see all of them and now have really been loving these things. Appreciate your simply being well helpful and for using this kind of exceptional topics millions of individuals are really desirous to understand about. My very own sincere apologies for not saying thanks to you sooner.
