True Love Lifts You Up.

Updated on March 7, 2013

This Too Shall Pass.

Loving someone every day,

A happy state, you may say,

But if your love is not returned,

If your love is bluntly spurned,

You are ignored.......

Is that such a happy state.?

Hearing words of scorn pour out,

Hands on head for fear of a clout.,

Feeling bony fingers instead,

As you try to protect your head.

Painful poking in your back

As scorn rings in your ears.

Your confidence will disappear.

Lifelong you retain the fear,

Unless true love does come your way,

he loves you for yourself each day.

When someone truly loves you.

Oh! What a happy state.

He holds your hand.... your fear.... it flies,

Your nerves relax within his eyes,

Slowly you forget the hatred,

Hold on tight to something sacred,

Know that you are lovable.

Your man, he will protect you.

Your life will have new meaning

When you learn to show your feelings,

With help from one who loves you,

The timid little girl......is no longer you.

You´ll day by day forget,

Oh! Then what a happy state.

Amazing and beautiful poem here as to what true love looks like and from whom one can truly be set free to be loved and love others in return.

      Really enjoyed this read!

Voted up ++++ and sharing (will come back to share, buttons not showing up?)

      God bless you, Faith Reaper

Beautiful words and how very, very true. True love lifts us up -- mean love destroys our souls. The construction of this work is stunning -- congratulations! Best/Sis
