I put all of my trust and faith in you

But that is nothing new

I opened up my heart

But now we have grown apart


We both say hurtful things we don’t mean

We think of each other as a fiend

Our hearts may never mend

I just want you back as my best friend


We both contributed to this mess

Now let us just put it to rest

Together we could be so great

If we could just learn to appreciate
