Were the angels with you~

When you passed? ~

Were the angels with you~

When your breath was your last?

Oh how I wanted you not to be alone~

Oh how I would of held your hand~

When Jesus took you home.

We talked a bit just a few days ago~

Now I realize you really did know.

I wanted to come to you~

I asked as I always did~

This was different when you answered me~

You said let me think as you never before did.

At least I got to say I love you~

More times than you maybe wanted to say back~

But it is comforting to me now~

As you have taken your last.

Are you there watching me now? ~

Are you welcomed by those we also lost and loved? ~

Are you now being enveloped with hugs of pure love?

Are you dancing now in Heaven? ~

I know you loved to dance~

Are you laughing up in Heaven? ~

I always found your laugh a blast.

Oh how I pray now~

Your safe with Jesus~

You are comforted with Him that please-eth.
