Whatsoever is not of Faith (Romans 14:23 KJV) (Poem)
Beloved, whatsoever is not of faith is sin,
This verse is an invocation for me to take a closer look within,
This is the question I must now ask myself,
Dust hope off from being idle like an ornament on a shelf,
Is my faith strong or is it weak?
Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world!
But in this examination of myself I must confess that I did swirl,
And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith,
I’m not giving up! I’m going to keep on running the race,
Have I doubted this truth to believe?
Or do I possess the faith it takes today to receive?
I repent Lord, of this sin and of all faithlessness,
I choose to trust and believe in all of Your greatness,
My desire is to change any unbelief into faith,
Sufficient unto me is all of Your grace,
Faith is the substance of all that I could ever hope for,
It is the key that will unlock each and every door,
It is the evidence of things that are not seen,
Has my faith become monotonous or is it really keen?
We walk by faith and we do not walk by sight,
The battleground is in the soul and it is there that I must fight,
Beloved, whatsoever is not of faith it is sin,
What is the only way to triumph and to win?
Declare what the Word of God says and be set free,
Proclaim to sin you shall not have dominion over me,
I will have faith in Jesus Christ the Lord and the blood He shed
For me at Calvary.
