We Are Precious in God’s Sight

Updated on December 31, 2013

Have you ever reflected on how Jesus sees you? What do you believe Jesus thinks and feels about you and the life you live? Based on God’s word, I believe Jesus sees you and me through the eyes of incomprehensible, sacrificial and redemptive love. We are precious in God’s sight. The following poem is my expression of how Jesus sees me. Please share a comment about how you think Jesus sees you.

How Jesus sees me

Jesus sees me as the Father's daughter, whom He died for that I might be saved.

As a much loved, unique, and new creation, I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

As a confessed and repented sinner, forgiven of past, present, and future sins;

As a sacred temple for the Holy Spirit, I am filled and self-controlled by Him, who dwells within.

Jesus sees me as one of God's chosen, set apart for His work to fulfill.

Justified by His grace and His mercy, I am a disciple doing God's will.

As co-heir with Him in everything, inseparable from God's love;

More than a conqueror in all adversities,

I am victorious through Him, who intercedes above.

Jesus sees me as a patient, who needs healing; as a woman, who endures and works through stress.

As a child, needing hugs of comfort,
I am a witness, who loves God and holds to His promises.

(I Peter 2:9) "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."

Be blessed,

Jo Anne Meekins

      Amen! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderfully tailored, beautiful and HOLY GHOST-channeled poem, Ms. Jo Anne. JESUS is certainly with you. All glory be to GOD! May you and your family be blessed always in CHRIST. I believe that JESUS sees me as HIS messenger, certainly not a perfect man but one possessing a heart after HIS FATHER's heart for even in the midst of my imperfections HE's always there to pick me up, dust me off and carry me through. I can do nothing good on my own but I know a SAVIOR that has all power in HIS hand. Hallelujah! Thank YOU JESUS! Bless YOU HOLY GHOST for revelation.

      I pray that God will see me as His hands, feet and voice

      as I worship Him by music, through my books and as I reach out to those who I feel He has placed before me to help in some way. My newest book, Reach out, each day is short stories of times I feel God pointing me toward someone who is in need of a hug, a kind word or a prayer. It is a wonderful journey that we travel as we walk with Jesus. Have a great week!

      The victims who only lost material possessions and not their lives already know. The ones who are no longer physically with us are present with Him and do not care. God's love is eternal and ever present no matter what trials we face in life. Trials mature us if we allow and choose to see the positive side of every situation. I believe that we were all appointed a time to return to Him before we ever entered the physical plane of existence. How and when that happens is unknown, but it is how we live in between the time that really matters and will make the difference in the end. Be blessed and I thank you for your comment.

      Tell that to the victims of Sandy.
