When You Feel Like Your Being Watched

I am home alone or so I thought

My wife left to go grocery shopping and she said she wouldn't be gone long

I am typing away on the computer keys with the air conditioner blowing

Not a sound to be heard except the smoke alarm chirping in the background

I tried to reset it and it still hasn't stopped making noise

I look at the light white computer screen and think of things I want to say

Now I turn on a mini fan that can blow air directly into my face

It is way to hot to go out 97 I think

So I threw on some shorts and a t-shirt and I am just sitting down

With my cell phone close by ready to call or be called at any moment

I sit and feel a strange presence

One that I can't describe

Like there are eyes watching my every move

I wonder what it could be ?

So I close my eyes and try to quess ?

Who would watch me for hours as I press each key lightly

I think it is funny that I am entertaining enough

As my story takes shape and each line twists itself in position

I think is this my past that has come to haunt me or is it the present that I feel today

I rub my eyes and now I see something I didn't see before

Yes my cat right infront of me laying so comfortable

Watching my every move

As if we were the only two in the whole wide world

When life just doesn't get any better

You have unconditional company that is by your side

No matter what you say or do

Your the cats meow

Now that gives me a good reason to Howl
